Shipping Policy - Cheffings

Thank you for choosing Cheffings. Our Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the shipment of your catering orders. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Processing Time:

1.1 Order Processing: Orders are typically processed within 2 - 3 business days from the date of order placement, excluding weekends and holidays. Please note that during peak periods, processing times may be extended.

2. Shipping Methods:

2.1 International Shipping: We operate in international shipping. Delivery times for international orders may vary based on customs clearance, destination country's postal service and chosen shipping method.

Upon shipment, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information through Shop. Kindly note that tracking details may take up to 24 hours to become available.

3. Shipping Rates:

3.1 Domestic Rates: Shipping rates for domestic orders are calculated based on the weight of the order and the chosen shipping method.

3.2 International Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the destination, weight, and shipping method chosen during the checkout process.

3.3 Prepaid Shipping Cost: When you place an order, you will be charged shipping cost. However, considering the difference in the estimated weight, the volume of the products, and other factors, the shipping cost on our supplier is only the estimated cost, which is for reference only, and the actual shipping cost may prevail. If the actual shipping cost exceeds the prepaid cost due to the difference in weight and volume of the goods, we shall have the right to charge the shipping cost difference from you. If this difference is not payed, we maintain the right to cancel your order.

4. Order Tracking:

4.1 Tracking Information: Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can track the progress of your shipment using the provided tracking number.

4.2 Delivery Confirmation: We consider orders marked as "delivered" by the carrier to be final. If you encounter any issues with delivery, please contact the carrier directly using the tracking information provided in our Refund Policy.

4.3 18+ Products in the UK: If you are ordering to the United Kingdom and your product falls under the items regulated in the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 (such as kitchen knives) then during your delivery you may receive a two tracking numbers by email to track your parcel. If this is the case; the first tracking number tracks the products route from our overseas warehouse to our UK storeroom. The second tracking number tracks the route from the UK storeroom to your shipping address. These tracking numbers will be provided in emails to the customer. You will receive an order confirmation email, an email reminding you of this following the order and an email with the second tracking number once it is shipped from our UK storeroom. Note that the order may show up as 'fulfilled' when it arrives in our storeroom, however you will be reminded, in the email, that it is not, as it needs to be ensured its at-door age verification service is applied before we redirect it to its final shipping address. Be ready at the door to provide identification and proof of being over 18 years of age. This only applies to customers from the United Kingdom.

5. Customs and Duties:

5.1 International Orders: Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the destination country. We do not have control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

6. Shipping Address:

6.1 Accuracy: Please ensure that the shipping address provided during checkout is accurate. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses.

7. Shipping Delays:

7.1 Unforeseen Circumstances: While we strive to meet our estimated delivery times, shipping delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, natural disasters, or carrier disruptions. We appreciate your understanding in such situations.

7.2 Third Party Delivery: Note that our products shipping is handled by a third-party who have their own personal connections with shipping couriers. Therefore the most we can do is supply you with the tracking number, details to contact the supplier and a guarantee we will also get in contact with them to discover the status of your parcel if delayed. We apologise for any delays in shipping. Please note that shipping is contingent on our third-party suppliers, and as such, we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by them.

8. Lost or Stolen Packages:

8.1 Lost or Stolen Parcel Retrieval: We are not liable for lost or stolen packages confirmed as delivered to the provided address. Should you encounter delivery issues, please contact the shipping carrier with your tracking information for assistance.

9. Shippings Discounts:

9.1 Code Active Status: Any active shipping discount codes can be applied at the checkout. The status of how long these discount codes are active is decided by Cheffings

9.2 Current discounts: We currently offer bespoke discounts to catering establishments and the general public. The discount is different depending on the nature of the order and upon decided agreement with the customer. Receiving a bespoke discount is done by emailing contact@cheffings.net. Once we have received the confirmation that the customer wishes to receive a bespoke discount on their order we will require specification on the quantity of which products desired and, if you are emailing on behalf of a business, certain business information. This information will differ depending on the businesses country address, though will always include business name, email and phone number. We ask for this merely to confirm the legitimacy of the business and to keep a record of past clients. We may ask the customer to input these details in the required checkout fields, so a unique discount to the customer will be automatically activated.

Once both parties are at an agreement, then we will either send a discount code or set the discount to apply at checkout when shipping details unique to the customer are input (we may ask for these details before hand to ensure this method).

9.3 Allowance of bespoke discounted order: Bespoke discounts only apply when shipping Economy, unless you are ordering to Great Britain, which is standard delivery. We have the right to cancel your order if you place an order under Standard or Express shipping not according to these rules. 

If the bespoke discount is applied to an order not matching the products and quantity of such specified in the mutual agreement for the bespoke discount over email, then Cheffings have the right to cancel the order. We will happily allow you to place it again continuously until it is corrected, that is unless we deem the customer is taking advantage of the discount for an order not agreed upon. In this circumstance, we have the right to disallow any further orders placed by this buyer. Once the correct order is placed, the discount code will deactivate. Cheffings hold the ultimate and final decision on the specified requirements of an order to receive a bespoke discount. 

10. Shipping Restrictions:

10.1  Possible restrictions: We currently ship to addresses within the United Kingdom, most of Europe and select international destinations. However, certain shipping restrictions may apply. Please contact us for further information before placing your order. If the actual cost shipping for a product exceeds the standard shipping price paid for the orders given weight range, then the customer may be required to cover the remaining fees. Given any circumstance, we have the right to cancel the order if this is the case.

11. Pre-Order Releases:

In the case of pre-order releases, shipping times will be contingent upon product manufacturing and release dates. We appreciate your patience should any delays occur. For more details, please refer to our Refund/Return Policy.

12. Policy Updates:

We may update or modify this Shipping Policy without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. By continuing to use our Services after such modifications, you agree to the revised terms.

For your convenience, all orders will be shipped within a reasonable timeframe, as outlined in our Terms of Service.
